Revolutionary New Approach To Weight Loss
Why Your Weight Loss Program Won't Work
If you have been dieting, working out and watching your calories, fat intake and carbohydrate consumption and are still struggling with your weight.
Here are a few reasons that your efforts may not be paying off.
First, analyze your diet.
If you are starving yourself, stop. Our bodies work in a complex rhythm, and when you suddenly stop consuming your bodies normal intake of calories, your body goes into "starvation mode" and will hold onto those calories, store them as fat, and your metabolism rate will drop, preventing those measly calories from burning at all.
Second, exercise and proper nutrition go hand in hand.
Do not expect to lose weight without doing both. Your body requires a certain amount of calories just to function - and that depends on your activity level. If you are highly active (sports, exercise) your body will burn calories much quicker, because you may have more muscle tone, and muscle burns calories faster than fat. However, if you are not eating a healthy diet, and living on fast food, you are setting yourself up for failure. High fat/high calorie foods make one feel sluggish and less energetic. This can prevent the desire to exercise, thus preventing muscle from being built (from within, by proper nutrition) and without, from lace of activity. Keeping a healthy balance of nutrition and exercise will ensure your weight loss success.
Finally, drinking plenty of water is vital to losing weight.
Our bodies are made up of 80% fluid, and water is required for our bodies to function properly, digest food, flush out impurities and work efficiently. Drinking the recommended eight glasses of day is just basic need. In addition, if you are working out regularly, your body will require additional fluids on top of those eight glasses. Avoid flavored waters, or sugary drinks. Those add additional calories will need burned, and sugar is a catalyst for storing fat.
By giving your body the correct amount of healthy calories per day, to function properly, and burning off the additional, unneeded calories through exercise and an active lifestyle, along with drinking the required amount of water per day, you should see drastic improvements to your weight loss program. If you do not, there could be a fourth reason: a medical issue that must be addressed.
